Instead of aerobics for a warm up routine, perform the following stretches to start your exercise routine: side bends, squats, toes touches, horizontal arms, vertical arms, shoulder shrugs, head rotations, head tilts, waist circles, arm circles and waist circles. Start slow and gradually increase the speed and range with each repetition. Do 10 of each and you will prevent injury while getting a better workout.
